University of Guelph’s Ridgetown Campus Open House for the New Federally Funded Anaerobic Digester! Grand Opening Anaerobic Digester

August 31, 2011, The Grand Opening of The University of Guelph’s Ridgetown Campus Anaerobic Digester was an exciting and informative event. With guests including the MP Van Kesteren! This project was federally funded and also includes a demonstration lab which will allow the Ridgetown Campus to continue to be the leader in agricultural research and development and lead in the growing renewable energy sector!

PBS Investments and ECB Inc. Signed Contract for Partnership on Alberta’s First Biogas Plant!

Martin and Stefan Signing ContractAugust 26, 2011, Martin Lensink and Stephan Michalski signed the partnership agreement for Alberta’s first biogas plant in Lethbridge. This biogas plant is expected to turn nearly 160,000 tonnes of liquid organic waste into heat and 2.85 megawatts of electricity each year. This is enough electricity to power 2,500 homes! Production is expected to begin in January 2013.
